What is pickleball?

Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong. Players use a solid paddle and a perforated plastic ball, similar to a wiffle ball.

Pickleball is a social and fun sport for players of all ages and skill levels. There are no age restrictions.

We offer programs and events for different age groups, so everyone can participate and enjoy the game.

What equipment do I need to play pickleball?

You will need a pickleball paddle and pickleballs. You can bring your own or use the equipment we provide for demo, rental or purchase at our facility.

We feature a variety of paddle options for skill levels.

Proper shoes are required for safety and stability.

“Court Shoes” much like those worn for tennis are essential for traction and lateral stability. Pickleball play requires alot of quick directional and lateral movements. Proper indoor pickleball shoes are non-marking, rubber soled shoes that will provide maximum safety, cushioning and stability.
Leave the walking shoes, running shoes, and cross-trainers at home when playing pickleball.

What should I wear to play pickleball?

Athletic wear, like tennis shorts or athletic skirts, and an athletic tank or shirt is appropriate. We do not have color requirements however, you should wear clothing colors that are different than your ball color for optimum visibility.

Safety Glasses

We recommend the use of protective eyewear to protect your eyes during play. Accidents (such as stray balls or collisions) can happen, and protective eyewear can help prevent eye injuries. We offer eyewear for sale that is specifically designed for indoor play to optimize protection and performance. Visit our Pro Shop for details.

How can I determine what level I play Pickleball at?

Pickleball rating systems typically use a 2-digit number to indicate skill level. Skill level is determined by how well a player can execute different shots, such as the forehand, backhand, serve, dink, third shot, and volley, as well as a player’s ability to understand game strategy.

For instance, a beginner is typically classified as a Level 1.0 – 2.0. This level player has minimal knowledge of the game.

Our staff can help you determine your rating and help you get to the next level!

Do I need to bring a partner to play pickleball?

Open Play is a great way to play if you do not have a partner. Open play allows you to participate with other players of a similar skill level. We can help you find a partner or match you with players of a similar skill level if you’re looking to play doubles.
